Die Gestalten Verlag (dgv) is an independent, creatively led design and media company based in Berlin.
The name provides insight into our philosophy: and "die gestalten" is a German double meaning both "the creatures" and "they create". The company is divided into two subdivisions - the design studio and the "verlag", which translates to publishing house. Since its founding, the design studio and verlag have worked collectively bringing together their strengths and expertise in their specialized fields.
While the design studio specializes in corporate design, DVD conception, motion screen design and web design with a forte in the music industry, the publishing department is firmly dedicated to creating, designing, publishing and distributing books and other media on contemporary visual culture.

My name is Leisa Reichelt. I’m a User Experience Consultant, based in London UK, but recently of Sydney, Australia.
What is a User Experience Consultant? Well, its someone who is interested in creating customer experiences that are both pleasurable and effective. UXC’s take a User Centred Design approach to design and this can be applied in virtually any environment you can think of - from a retail space, to a phone call, to a website.
Most of the work that I do is in interactive media (web, iTV, mobile and the like) and I use a mixture of User Research Techniques, Information Architecture, Interaction Design, and Usability skills mixed up with a background of Project Management, Producing, and Account Management to help define the requirements for a project, understand (and often define) the content and functionality involved, and design a structure (or architecture) and interface.

The Stanford d.school
Many in the business world do get the "creativity thing." Silicon Valley, for example, is a place that understands that creativity, design thinking, and business go together. Stanford University, located in the heart of the Valley, is probably the best place in the U.S. to study business and design (and creativity). Stanford is famous for their B-school, of course, and now they're getting a lot of attention for their D-school. One of the cool instructors at the D-school is Diego Rodriguez from IDEO and the author of the Metacool blog, one of the very few in my blog reader. Checkout his informative website.

Mediasnackers Blog
http://mediasnackers.com/report/
The world has changed…
…and it’s not looking back.
MediaSnackers is a site/weblog/project/call to action for people interested in how young people consume and create media across the globe.
Setting the scene
Remember the set menu of print, radio and television, delivered at specific times, for the masses and only in the ways the creators defined?
With the arrival of the Internet, digital TV, mobile phones, iPods, weblogs etc.—the media landscape has changed from the linear, to one of many layers, consumed by self-serving and empowered individuals.
Young people are the new ‘WWW’ generation—snacking whenever, wherever and whatever they like through the multi-channeled and many technological avenues available.
Creating as much as they consume—constantly hungry, always ‘on’ and totally self-serving!
