The cycle of sharing what you know, encouraging people to be great, learn more and be confident and therefore responsible for their choices and actions in the team and ultimately for the strategic design decisions is a holistic cycle I am an advocate for and practice today.
I am only as good as my team. I always want the team to see and be part of the big picture. Mentoring is being responsible for tapping into strengths and redirecting uncertainty. Failing fast and forward cycles within a team promotes growth of individuals in your team and also builds resilience.
My passion for all things design across diverse industries helps teams understand the strength and important role design has to play in communicating the vision, setting up the framework and understanding the user, customer and or client as an active agent in the process.
For the past 10-15 years I have written, shown, lectured, workshopped diagrammed and designed conversations with junior designers and also educated and influenced stakeholders including at the executive level.
