Videntify 1.0 BASH script for Mac OS X, Identify video file type and encoding
There is an interesting script at [TSF] that processes batches of video files to identify the video's file format and video compression. It is command-line only and not a finished product but it does quickly identify which files are Windows Media 3 with Digital Rights Management within the file for instance (those videos will not play in OS X at all.)
